About Instantaneous

For a long time I only had my camera with me when I was somewhere making photographs for a particular project or idea. After I found an old Polaroid Land camera at an estate sale I started carrying it around with me while I was doing things other than photographing. I soon found that taking snap shots was fun and it helped me loosen up my style and enjoy photography more. With a camera at the ready my seeing became instantaneous and I could take pictures for no reason other than that I wanted to. Many are not great and only of personal interest but some I begin to like just as photographs. Occasionally I "curate" these vernacular pictures into sequences based on visual and content relationships despite there having been no particular idea behind them.
